Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies produced another fine footballing display to record their second victory of the season against Putney Vale at the Robert Parker Stadium.
The hosts got off to a poor start when Putney scored directly from a free kick in the opening four minutes of the game.
This woke the home side up who equalised with a well worked goal from Ashley Cheatley and co.
Irisha Smith who was playing in her first competitive fixture of the season since joining in the summer, latched onto a superb cross-field pass from Captain, Vicky James to lob the goalkeeper inside the penalty box.
The home side were cruising and Ashley Cheatley grabbed two more before the half time whistle to send the home side in 4-1 up.
The second half was a similar story with Ashford Ladies dominating possession and creating the better chances in the game. Lavana Neufville scored a well deserved goal in the second half before Putney Vale hit a quick fire double.
The current league top goalscorer, Cheatley took her tally to 12 goals for the season in her last two games before player of the match James, scored a penalty in the last minute of the game.
