Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies Win Derby Fixture

Ashford Ladies extended their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions by thrashing Colne Valley Reserves 5-2 at the Lucan Pavilion.

Ashley Cheatley fired Ashford into an early lead but it was Colne Valley who looked a threat soon after with the pace of Lucy Cook. Ashford doubled soon after from a superbly whipped in corner from Vicky James.

It was 2-1 at the break however Ashford always looked in control of the game

Lavana Neufville came to life in the second half and scored a fantastic solo goal, beating two defenders then finding the back of the net.

Cheatley rounded off proceedings netting her hatrick before Colne Valley scored another late on.

A fine footballing display from an inform Ashford side who face Brook House in the next round of the Capital Cup, another team from the league above!

Player of the Match: Vicky James
