Presentation Evening

Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies Football Club held their first presentation evening at Kempton Park Racecourse on Friday 20th May 2016.

The event which was combined with both the men’s first team and the under 18s squad which saw everyone come together and celebrate a successful season for all teams.

Ashley Cheatley was rewarded for her goals this season and rightly so as she picked up the ‘Players’ Player of the Year’ award before achieving the ‘Most Skillful’ player.

What a year the young striker has had representing the Middlesex FA Rep Squad on three occasions and scoring over 70 goals this season.

Club captain Vicky James, most commonly know to her teammates as “Bear” won a host of awards on the night picking up ‘Manager’s Player of the Season’, ‘Best Trainer’ and  ‘Goal of the Season’ which was a fantastic free kick scored in the Cup!

Amber Luzar has had a great season and was also recognised by her teammates receiving two awards; ‘Most Intelligent’ as well as ‘Joker of the Team’.

Tia Prior who we’ll be sadly losing next season as she heads off to university, picked up one award as well as Charlotte McGregor, Irisha Smith, Frida Larsson and Beth Sheehan who won ‘Most Improved’.

A special mention to our goalkeeper Lauren Restel who has been fantastic this season as well as Jess Boyd who has also enjoyed a good season going from strength to strength every week.

It was an entertaining day celebrating a successful year in the ladies first year together at the club and we’d like to extend our thanks not only to Kempton Park but also to Dan Suh who has been a fantastic sponsor and Ben Murray and Nick Bailey for arranging such a great event.
