Ashford Win Against Carshalton Development

Ashford Ladies continued their impressive start to the season by beating Carshalton Athletic (Development) 6-2 at the Robert Parker Stadium.

Ashford took the lead early on when top goalscorer; Ashley Cheatley volleyed home a Vicky James corner.

Lavana Neufville then doubled the lead after great trickery on the left-hand side, beating two defenders to then squeeze the ball into the near post.

Great play from Neufville again out wide before delivering in a driven cross for Cheatley to tap in.

Carshalton hit back in the 34th minute however the home side were allowed to grab one more before the break when Cheatley rounded the goalkeeper only to be brought down before her shot. Cheatley made no mistake from the spot by smashing the resulting penalty home.

H/T 4-1

The second half was played in similar fashion with the tangerines dominating the game and Tilly Frost got her first goal of the season by curling her shot in the top corner.

Carshalton grabbed another soon after before skipper James, who returned to the match day squad scored the final goal of the game with a hammer of a shot that eluded the goalkeeper and rocketed into the roof of the net.
